Arundel, Maine 04046

Open daily to boarders and
from 9am - 4pm for Visitors.
Capacity: 14 Horses
Established 1986.

Daily Routine:
Turnout- We have several large green pastures of 7-10 acres each, a large dirt paddock for group turnout, post and board electric fencing, and a run-in shed.  We have all day turnout, weather permitting, unless otherwise requested.  We discourage horses being kept inside all day.  Each horse has his own stall for the night.

Feed- We feed 12% Sweet Feeds (bran and steamed flake corn and a complete pellet for winter months) twice daily, and Hay three times daily.  We will use a different grain upon request and vitamins too if supplied.

Facilities- We have a lighted outdoor arena with jumps and barrels available.  We also have an indoor horse wash area as well.  The stalls are 10'x10' aisle stalls with windows, rubber mats over a wood floor, with sawdust/shaving bedding which are cleaned daily.  There is a large tack room overlooking the paddock area.

We offer Riding instruction and horse training in Dressage, Hunt Seat, and Driving.  Kris Woodward Instructor/Trainer.  We also offer off site instruction as well as lessons to non-boarders who trailer in their own horses.

Rates

Boarding:$250/month.  Boarder's Horse may be used in lessons for a partial waver.

Lessons: One hour private- $40/hour, one hour semi-private-$30, one hour group $25.

Procedures
Barn- Riding Helmets are required.  No smoking.  Children need to be under supervision around the horses at all times.  We discourage dogs from visiting the barn for the safety of all horses, people and dogs.

Veterinarian/Ferrier- The Boarder is responsible for scheduling all vet and Ferrier visits and should be present for the appointments.  In an emergency, MMF will call the barn Vet or Ferrier if the Boarder's cannot be located.  Worming is done by MMF every 8 weeks, at a cost above board.  All shots and a negative Coggins Test are required.

Areas of Interest:
Trails-  We have access to many trails and an old railroad bed.  Trails can also be taken to ride to local Horse shows.  An outside jump and driving course are under construction as well.

Lease Programs- Other boarders sometimes offer in-barn leases.

Geriatric care- We take extra special consideration for those horses in their golden years.
